We are thinking of buying a floating week here from a private owner. Is Hilton practicing First Right of Refusal here? If so, does anyone know what price we can get a unit for? Thanks.

I'm pretty new to HGVC but from what I understand this is an affiliate resort and HGVC doesn't have ROFR at the affiliates.

If I'm wrong hopefully someone will correct me.

Charter Club is not owned, but is managed by HGVC guest services, as an affiliate of HGVC. AFAIK, there is no ROFR, but any buyer would be well-advised to check with the front office to verify that, to verify that...
-- HGVC membership is available to resale buyers... membership is not automatic and there is a special activation fee; and
-- Whether there are any restrictions on use of points for an ensuing year in which MF's are outstanding (as we've heard sometimes happens to affiliate owners).

Charter Club does not have ROFR. I think the HOA is doing a great job trying to keep costs down, while maintaining the resort.

The last time I checked, floating (gold) units were going for $2500-$3000 on ebay.

In borrowing points from the next year, you don't have to pay the mf's until that year.

I have owned several affilate weeks on Marco island. Charter club and Surf club. Surf club trades with both rci and II. Also good for hgvc points. Charter club is is RCI and HGVC only.

No Rofr. I sold mine after several hurricanes and special assesments. The maint fee were getting near 1000.00

I dont know what thew fees are now. Great resorts, dont buy anything except platinum or gold weeks
