Using a friends week there this summer...but cannot find a single thread about it on the whole site.

Anyone know a good source for research or why I cannot find anything on tugbbs?

The easiest way to search for TUG posts is to use Google Go to Google and search "tug hgvc charter club"... There are many posts

We owned Charter Club on Marco until we moved here permanently. We had two flex weeks and sold them shortly after we moved. We live in the middle of the island, but Charter Club is very nice. We liked the North Bldg since it was closer to the water (South bldg set back just a bit). Crystal Shores is next door and they have a nice little restaurant, Stilts. Across the street from Charter Club is our favorite Beach Store, Sunsations. We get all our wardrobe from Sunsations. There is a cluster of restaurants about a block away from Charter Club. Avoid Nacho Mamas. Terrible Mexican food. If you like substyle sandwiches, Publix makes good ones and they just opened a Jersey Mike's on the island. Joey's Pizza has good pizza, but we like Little Caesar's for cheap eats. There is also a new Dominos. Jackie's Chinese has nice take out. Only two or three tables to eat there and they do not deliver. But you can order online and pick up. They usually close in the afternoon between 2 and 4 to get dinner food ready. It's small, but decent food. Our favorite breakfast place closed during the pandemic, but Red Rooster is still good. We thought Doreen's was noisy.

Charter Club has kayaks and paddle boards for members to use. You can get a beach umbrella and two loungers for the entire week or just a day or two for a fee. It's been a long time since we stayed there, but it was about $125 or so for the entire week if I remember correctly.

If you see a flashing yellow light on the beach of hear a long siren, that's the lightning warning. Three short blasts means it's over. You can't eat at the Resident's Beach counter service unless you are a member of the Resident's Beach.
