Casa Dorado Spa Resort Cabo San Jose
Beware of GBS , and Casa Dorado Spa Resort timeshare, managed by Hilton was handled by GBS. After over 20 years of making payments I was informed that my 2025 maintenance fee was redirected to another, lesser property. This was done without my consent. I am still trying to obtain a Refund to no avail. Now Hilton is no longer allowing the use of my timeshare at Casa Dorado, despite the fact that I have a Contract in effect until 2031. GBS is offering a Buy Out however each time i speak with the amount offered changes and then they don’t follow up. It seems very unfair that they are allowed to just change the ownership of the timeshare I purchased and the “buy Out” is never completed.Delay after delay, I beleive that they are hoping all the owners give up and we just lose our investment.

I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, where are other many complaints about GBS. Also contacted Attorney genreral’s office.

I notice GBS(Miami) sends out MF 6 months in advance and not due until January 2026. No discount for early payment. Is this property being managed by HILTON? Not clear what’s going on here. Thanks in advance for your clarification.
 
If you paid your fees on a credit card cancel( dispute) the charge. You have a couple of months to do this. The credit card will cancel the charge and then go to the company to have them give their side of the story. You’ll have to provide to the credit card company the reasons etc and that you tried to reason with the vendor to no avail. Usually the vendor never replies to the dispute and you win. If the vendor wins your credit card gets recharged.

I only do everything timeshare related on my credit card.

You’ve had the resort for 21 years I would not give them another dime till the settle. You might consider just letting it go as do you really want to work with this company any longer? DO NOT LET THEM ADD YEARS TO YOUR CONTRACT if it expires as most Mexico resorts did when purchased at the timeframe you purchased yours. If you want another resort in Cabo get it from an owner who wants out which are thousands of owners.

Curious if you have an update. I came to search the forum as I paid my maintenance in December and paid the transfer fee to Interval. In the past, the week shows up in Interval in a couple days. In 2025, it took a couple weeks. For not 2026 week, it has been 3 full months and has not showed up. I have called several times and they say that department is behind with no estimate when it will be done. I was getting calls very often and always told them that I am happy with it...I only have one more year on my contract 2027 and did not want to mess that up. Now, I am suspicious whether I will ever get the week - it will not let me book online either. I waited too long to dispute my maintenance fee with my credit card company.
