Are these adjacent resorts, both on Medano Beach in Cabo?

I just booked an II exchange into a studio at Casa Dorado Medano Beach for May 2022. I have some extra points to burn so I was looking for a consecutive week (although I’m not 100% sure booking a second week is what I’ll actually do).

In looking for that consecutive week, I see that a studio at Casa Dorado San Lucas Bay is available the same week as the Casa Dorado Medano Beach that I just booked. The CD San Lucas Bay is described as more adult-oriented, which would actually suit us well.

Does anyone here have any insight as to location of the two resorts relative to each other? Any advice as to whether I should switch to SLB? We‘re generally not AI people but would consider it for this trip, so the availability of optional AI at CD Medano Beach is appealing. We‘d probably do it if the price was right. Can any TUGgers comment on the availability of optional AI at CD San Lucas Bay?

Thanks. I fund Cabo resorts confusing!

PS we are peace and quiet people but would like to try being in the mix for this trip to Cabo. However if we book a second week, wed love to hear suggestions as quiet locations. We like ocean swimming but understand that’s not commonly available at quiet Cabo resorts so we can live without ocean swimming in week two of our stay, if we decide to book two weeks.

They are near each other. San Lucas Bay is just hotel suites and there is boom boom music going on a lot of the time. Might be fun and the people watching should be great. Medano beach has Mango deck out in front and you will be treated to some craziness there as well.

Ohhhh.... “adult” as in “young adults partying loudly, don’t complain about the boom boom music”. Not “adult” as in “quiet old farts who prefer swimming pools sans cannonballs”.

I think we’ll stick with CD Medano Beach.

Casa Dorada Resort and Spa is behind and above the Office, Mango Deck and Medano Bay. This is a really good location and the views are great.

There is another smaller Casa Dorado on the Pacific side of Cabo not too far from Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. You can google map it. The location is great and you can see sunset on this side of Cabo. This one is Dorado and not Dorada.

Then there is the golf course Casa Dorada spa and golf in between SJD and Cabo. Pretty nice place near great snorkeling.

I don't remember seeing two Casa Dorada's on Medano Beach but the area is so overbuilt it's crazy crowded and there could be another. There are a couple of RUI's on the bay so maybe on the Casa Dorada's.

I think the San Lucas Bay units are in the RIU.

Yes “adult” Means loud. GOF means quiet.

I walked through both last Feb and I think the older one is the Santa Fe and the newer big white one is the White Palace.

The name Casa Dorado and Dorada have been used by a few resorts. I remember one resort called Club Casa Dorada spa and golf that had an address on Medano Beach but was actually units in Cabo golf resort behind the Walmart.

If I was staying in Cabo I would want to on the beach so the Casa Dorada on Medano Beach and above the Mango Deck is where I would go.

Your welcome. Medano Beach restaurants and bars do quiet down after 8 pm. It is a day time beach party that is fun to watch. Most of the party scene moves to the bars in town in the evening . I think you will enjoy Cabo. The cheap massages are next door to Club Cascades. The Marina malecon extends to the beach. The clubs are open in Cabo with the exception of the Cabo Wabo which was a club but is now a restaurant. The marina is fun to walk in the evening. I'm amazed at how much Cabo has grown.
