Checking on line...is it truly possible that all 3 Calsbad resorts have no 1 bedroom availabilty already??? Amy I doing something wrong? Looking at August 6-13

Basically you waited too long.
You are now less than 9 months out, during prime Summer weeks at the California coast. You'll notice a bunch of availability beginning Sept 4th & 5th, once families are back in school.
At such desirable locations and dates you need to be booking exactly 9 months out, and in many cases you want to book a hair after midnight, 9 months out.
A quick check of RCI Extra Vacations (Rental) has the week you are looking for in a 2 bedroom at the Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort for $2400. There's also a one bedroom at the Blue Whale, also Oceanside with an August 12 check-in for $738.
I'll also mention I have a week at the San Clemente Inn for rent with a June 19th check-in posted in the Tug Timeshare Marketplace if it's of any help.

All fixed weeks....
You have to remember, all the summer weeks (I'm guessing you are looking at Seapointe, GPP, and Marbrisa) are fixed. An owner needs to deposit into Hilton/RCI first. May still happen (put in an on going request if you don't have one yet), but, seems like there is a lot of competition for those weeks. We always rent ours out, and have never deposited.

We live in Carlsbad and own at Carlsbad Inn. It is older than Grand Pacific Palisades,but right downtown and across from ocean.
July and August are THE most sought after in any beach area. If you are able to come in September -- it is our best weather and more availability. June usually is foggy. We call it June Gloom

There are also a few timeshares in San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano that is about 30 minutes north of Carlsbad.
We live in Carlsbad and own at Carlsbad Inn. It is older than Grand Pacific Palisades,but right downtown and across from ocean.

Sadly, I agree that you have waited too long for a high season/high demand location.
I see you are a brand new poster here, so welcome.
I don't know about your timeshare experience, but one thing a new owner (I don't know if that's you or not) needs to learn is to book early. Timeshare travel isn't like hotel travel where you can wait and book on a whim. This is especially true in a high demand and high season area like Southern California coastal.

Those are super cheap weeks for summer. ok-likely as most schools have started up. However, if you can make the last week of Aug. those are great prices. Sept/Oct are also lovely times to visit there. Someone mentioned Carlsbad Inn. Great resort-not as big (unit size) or entire resort as GPP/Seapoint, but downtown and very close to a nice beach. Ideal for couples.
