Hi I was wondering if any one has purchased a timeshare unit from Carlsbad inn resort , sales
Office on property.
How long did the process take.
Thanks

We own there. The onsite sales office is horrendously overpriced, like 5-10x. Never buy from them. Look at Redweek.com.

Feel free to ask anymore questions.

I agree with you, but when you are looking for a certain week and unit, will sometimes you have to get the best deal you can.
They seem to make their own rules.

Called for updates each month. Almost the say answer.
Checked on the taxes on this unit. Shows it behind,
I question the realtor on this, she said it will all be paid off before closing.
To show progress, would this be taking care by now.Or is this the last stone.

Hi if taxes are behind , will the closing company pay them before asking me for the balance.

Presumably the seller will be paying the back taxes to the closing company prior to any transfer of title.

If the seller refuses to pay them then you may have the option of either walking away or offering to pay them.

I don't see how the title can transfer without the tax liability being first satisfied. Who will pay them will become the issue if the seller is not financially able to do so (or refuses to do so).

Why would title not be able to transfer without taxes being paid?

You can certainly do the transfer without the back taxes being paid, but you would then owe those taxes yourself (or more accurately, they would still be a lien on the property).

The solution is to make the back tax payment a condition in your escrow.

Yes, it could transfer without the taxes being paid but then it automatically becomes the buyer's issue, so I guess the tax payment question should be settled based upon what was agreed to in the previously drawn (assuming) purchase and sale agreement........
