Dear Group:

I’m trying to get my car shipped from Fort Lauderdale to NY. Can anyone recommend a car transport company? Thanks for any advice!!!

We used Car-Go several times. They are a broker, as in they don't own their own trucks. You don't find out until a few days ahead when they will pick your car up. We paid a deposit, then a cash balance when the car was delivered. Used them to get our daughter's car back and forth from California to Florida and to get my car from California to New Mexico when we moved. It's been awhile since we've used them so check recent reviews. I also recommended them to a friend when she moved from California to Florida and she was pleased with their service as well.

I belong to several Snowbirds Facebook groups and folks are always asking about car shipping for one or both directions. A Google search for 'car shipping from FL to NY' will get you dozens of companies, many with free quotes. There are some companies who will put your vehicle on a car carrier transport truck (be sure to put your EZPass or similar in a signal proof bag if you choose that method), or other companies provide a driver to drive your car for you while you fly.

Not exactly what you're looking for but have you considered the amtrak auto train from Sanford FL to Lorton VA?

You could try uship dot com, the web site they used on the Shipping Wars show.

Yes, thank-you. I needed to go much further north, so it didn't work for me.
