I went to a timeshare on myrtle beach for capital vacation. I paid 2000 non refundable deposit for 2 years contract. They gave me 200k points and confirmed that i can buy a cruise vacation during Christmas and a round trip plane ticket for 2 from east coast to California using my points. They have not sent me any legal paperwork yet, and will provide in a week. Are their points system as good as they say. Is 2000 the only money i pay for 2 years? Does my contract automatically expire in 2 years without auto renewal?

PS: i got a 4 night hotel stay in myrtle beach for 200 since i agreed to watch this presentation.

Last Thursday. They delay the paperwork and any online login details by 5 days for some reason.

But the salesperson looked at his computer and showed us that we can book cruise for 65k points on christmas. And use remaining points for our round trip flight to california.

I just found this website today. But other sites said that cruise and flight might have some fees to redeem. Am i in bigger trouble more than paying fees to redeem my free cruise and flight? I just want more information at this point if you could redirect to correct forum sectikn

Rescind & research Capital Vacations on here. Some locations are nice but their maintenance fees are extremely expensive.

FYI—125,000 points just sold on eBay for $0.30. You can also get them free in several places.

I don't see how they could wait to send you paperwork. It's like they plan to go around the rescind laws by having you sign something but not the official paperwork. This is a terrible company. VRI sold to this company. VRI never really tried to sell us anything but of course the new company has called us a few times. I block their calls but new numbers show up on Caller ID.

OP is describing a sampler package. Does a sampler agreement have the same rescind rights as a timeshare purchase?
