Wyndham Smoky mountains won’t give him any comps to walk, said they aren’t marketing to Galveston… anyone ever heard of this?

What is a 'comp to walk'? I'm not familiar with that.
 
Is he single?
 
Is he an owner? Non owners I believed are only able to do tours every six months. Owners at same location is 14 days.
Maybe that's the issue?
Who knows?

There is no Galveston resorts within Wyndham Penny. Are you asking about a HICV location perhaps? Not sure I understand what you mean by "not marketing to Galveston" comment.

Perhaps the son lives in Galveston? They mention they are at Smokey Mountains.

I no longer get asked. Got sent to the concierge at check-in on the 29th, went to the concierge, and he flagged me on by after hearing my name. Gee, I was so looking forward to that update. :rolleyes: I am so glad they skip me, seriously, I think I would rather get another crown on my back molar.
 
I would not believe the reason they gave for not signing him up for a tour, any more than I’d believe anything else they say.

The only thing that matters is that for this particular trip, they don’t need him to do a tour. The why doesn’t matter.
 
Unless they are trying to sell him something that isn't legal in Texas, I see no reason for Galveston to be an excluding factor.

Why are you using the term "walk"? I've never heard being invited to a presentation as "walk", not ever, never ever. Where is that term coming from?

Did they pester you if you were right there with him, but not him? Were each of you talking to different concierges at the desk? Sometimes the particular concierge or marketing rep as they are more accurately labeled, has already hit their quota and simply doesn't have any interest in signing more folks up, especially if they are within 30 minutes of leaving for the day for example. The Galveston comment was likely just an excuse in other words.

Agreed- that's a new one for me as well. Tours, updates, sales updates. How about weasel walk? :cool:
