HI, This for sure is one of the hardest posts I have ever done. I am posting this as I feel I owe it to many who I have been helping and have not responded to, as well as to share with all what I find out happens when you have to cancel vacations etc. Also to let all who have been so helpful to me....know why I have not responded. I am hopeful that TUG will see that this does indeed have travel related ramifications for all...as you will see below this can and already has happened to oh so many families.
I need to share with you all that this past monday we cancelled our long wished for vacation to Acapulco and Ixtapa.....NO NOT because of the flu!!!!! I have unfortunately been diagnosed with breast cancer, and will be undergoing a bilateral mastectomy this coming friday, am already taking oral chemo and will be on chemo after surgery. Much to my chagrin, I have found so, so many people on this site, and others, who have had to do similar due to health issues and oh so many who I did not know, right here these sites that have already been on this not wanted vacation to the World of Cancer, instead of their planned vacation. ( Please do your breast exams and mammographies....I did and we are hopeful this is early stage....)
I want to let you all know, that obviously I will not be posting for, well I do not know really as yet...but be assurred I will be back....some of you may know me as bezerk on some other sites.
I would like at this time to ask all of you to please think of me and my family and all the families that have been thru or will go thru this or similar circumstances. Pray for them all. Be kind when posting.....Pray for all the poor people of Mexico who due to the flu or any other such thing, will not ever be able to afford what many of us have experienced or to seek health care when needed. Right now pray for the world....but do not let fear cripple you or hamper your life!
When I am recovered I will let you all know, ( maybe before if possible) what occurred finacially with my vacation plans. And also if I will be able to go as scheduled in July to one of my favorite places Puerto Vallarta Area!!! My trip to Ixtapa to Pacifica where I am a member has put my vacation and all monies on credit until I am able to travel. My RCI exchange to Acapulco, RCI, will refund my exchange fees and such and also send a 6 month week certificate to use. Not sure if I will be traveling by then, but will deal with that later. My dear hubby handled all this and he has no clue how all this timeshareing works, but he is learning quick LOL.
It would mean a lot to me and my family, if on Friday, anyone who is able, can do a toast ( I happen to like Palomas and Margaritas, but beer is okay too!)( ah heck any alcohol would be fine, since I cannot have any now)for a quick return to my vacations and to my time spent on TUG! I will surely miss my time on this site. Saludos!!
My husband flew in on weds. on an emergency flight to Guadalajara.....so I have my big shoulders to lean on and we are in no fear of the flu.....he did wear a mask on plane as I advised.......
My friends on here, I will miss you all, but just for a time and I WILL be back!!!! Stay healthy, happy and post in peace.....life is oh so very short and with so many twists......I am praying not only for my family but for all the world in this trying time........

The BANNER, unfortunately did not make it to Mexico with hubby under the circumstances but we have made arrangements for a friend in states to get it from our home there and forward it on to next in line. I know there was an issue with timing and one poster who PM'd me, but did not know what was going to occur then, so maybe that poster can send me address via PM asap as the last chance I will have to check for adress will be tomorrow. I will also send Brian a PM.....if I do not get the address before hospital then before hubby returns to states which we, well he hopes will be before end of May....he will get it out to whomever asap. He has to return of course for work and money...unfortunatley...but I have a good support system in Mexico so I will be okay...
My friends....please keep the banner moving for me.....when I am back and able to use computer the pics will help to life my spirits to see the Banner traveling.....Vaya con Dios ( Go with God)!!!
Please have happy vacations and PLEASE do your breast checks and mammograms etc.....I was vigilant and it may be my life saving grace!!! No offense but check those breasts now and tell all mothers, wives, daughters, grandmothers, friends, etc.....CHECK NOW!!!! Almost every other person I speak to has been affected by this Cancer World......heavy sigh......help me to get the word out my friends.....check, check and double check!!!!
I'll miss you all for awhile, but I plan to take that Banner traveling again!!! Just pray now!!!
