If I confirm an extra vacation a long time out, would I be able to cancel it if necessary and then confirm another extra vacation? Are their penalties?

If the confirmed travel dates are at least 15 days away, you have a 24-hour grace period to cancel without penalty. You would have until the end of the next business day. Extra Vacations confirmed 14 days away or less do not provide a grace period.

When you cancel, you will lose a percentage of the fee you paid, according to how far in advance of the confirmed travel dates you requested the cancellation.

61 days or more - retain 70% of exchange fee
60 days to 15 days - retain 50% of exchange fee
14 days or less - exchange fee not refundable
