Canceling hold points?

My dad has stage 4 cancer and had to cancel a trip to Hawaii in June 2024 for Chemo. His points are "hold points" until the end of 2025. If I book him something for April but he is unable to go (again) because of Chemo, can I cancel again and have them go back into holding until the end of 2025? Or does he lose them if we cancel again?

Yes, you can book and cancel again, and the points will go back into the holding account, expiring at the end of 2025.
