Hi Everyone,
We have owned this resort since 2007 and are ready to transfer it to friends. We live in Alberta. The timeshare is in Nevada.
Have any other Canadians gone through the deed transfer and if so what process did you have to go through?
Do we have to get a lawyer in Nevada to facilitate the transaction? Do both parties have to be present in Nevada to record the Deed at the Clark Count Recorders Office?.
From information we have received, we are very confused and unsure what we need to do. Can anyone be of help to us?
Bev

LT Transfers. Easy peasy

This is the timeshare title company that I use - they are Tuggers, they get high marks on TUG, and they are efficient and inexpensive - usually less than $350.

I agree with using LT Transfers to prepare and record the deed; I have used them on multiple occasions.

The issue will be getting your signatures on the deed notarized. It is a rigamarole when you are outside of the U.S.

Will you be in the U.S. anytime soon? If so, the easiest solution is bring the deed and have it notarized when you are here (and to then return the deed to LT Transfers for recording and processing).

No - that is quite easy. Any Canadian Notary can witness your signature. LT will email you the deed to print with instructions on execution. I signed a deed in Canada this week and couriered it (postal strike) back to LT Transfers to register it in Florida

This is a welcome change. Fifteen years ago, it was a PITA.
