Pretty scary that an entire nation can be impacted so easily

Yes, but we were not affected, not on Rogers, so seemed to have escaped all of this.

We’re in Newfoundland and yesterday was chaotic. We drove from Gros Marne to St. John’s and one gas station only took cash and their atm was down! TVs didn’t work and no debit cards at hotels or restaurants.

Not sure why everything at Rogers crashed.

5G -4G & 3G - no calls- no texting & no data.
[ FYI - 3 G is fully operational by the Canadian Big 3 - Rogers - Bell - Telus ]
and
Home & business Internet
and a bunch of other stuff like debit card transactions- that was apparently using Rogers services.

*******
I am guessing this cost the Canadian economy a lot more dollars than the Ambassador Bridge service outage in February.

It was a huge inconvenience here in Toronto. There are still so many people working remotely, and they were scrambling to coffee shops, libraries, anywhere they could get a connection. All of our devices are with Rogers- TV, internet, home phone, cell phone. Thank heavens it was a nice day outside so we could work in the garden, and have a nice BBQ.

Thankfully only my cellphone, which is only used for emergencies when we are in the car, was affected in our case but many folks and business were much worse off.

Now the cartoons and memes have started.

(not to be political, but it is funny)
