Can you give away or sell your HGV Max contracts?

I'm planning my great escape from HGV Max later this year. Contracts are paid off and I'm going to send certified letter that I'm gone. BUT if anyone wanted my contracts, I'd happily give them away (or sell for $1). Anyone know if this is possible with HGV Max? I expect not, since there's crazy charges for everything with this SOBs.

Are you in DRI/HVC? If you are in HGVC, then you have deeds, not contracts, that you would need to sell... Like selling your house.

Nope. HGV Max. They're contracts and not deeds.

Max is a program. You either own in DRI/HVC or HGVC/HC. Sounds like you have a DRI Max contract and should post this to the HVC group for their input.

Thanks. I'm new to this forum. How do I find the HVC group?

I moved this thread to HVC/DRI forum.

If you are in HGV Max, that means you probably made a pretty big purchase within the past year from HVC/Diamond? No?

Yes. Last year, but I plan to walk away. They'll just resell my contracts and I'd rather give them away then let them make more money.

You can try to give it away for free first, but HGV Max will not transfer on resale but the HVC collection will transfer.

Will they charge a large fee?

You can use someone like LT Transfers to transfer it. Depending on the deed and the demand for it, you may need to pay the fee or you can first try to give it away and make the buyer pay closing.
