I see posts with hints about each card but these are scattered about in various threads. I’d like to see a thread touting the individual highlights of how people maximise the benefits of each card.

I’m especially interested in how people transfer points to other loyalty programs that increases benefits. For example, transferring Chase UR to Hyatt because Hyatt requires less points for hotel nights.

Travel packages are great but I think I’ve used United miles for Lufthansa when I could have gotten better value with a different partner.

If the moderators approve, I’ll keep tabs of the posts and edit this first post to combine the info in one place.

It is not in this forum but the Starwood forum in FT has an extensive discussion of the topic you may wish to read. Really extensive! And regardless of the thread's title, the main discussion is SPG Amex (current/new/luxury), Marriott card offerings, and Chase Sapphire. Let’s talk about alternatives to the SPG Amex after the massive Marriott devaluation

I signed up for the Hyatt Visa card. Met the minimum $2,000 spend to get the 40,000 sign-up points last month, but Chase still has not posted the 40,000 points. The 5,000 points for my husband being added as an authorized user have posted, though. We want to use the Hyatt bonus points to book hotel nights before our HGVC and Marriott KoOlina Hawaii trades.

I would love to see a credit card/rewards board on how to make points go farther for traveling (airfare, etc.)

After about an hour of reading the flyer talk thread, I'm up to post #71 out of 370. It takes me a while to cypher the language and do some calculations on the benefits.

I said it was really extensive. Perhaps I should have said exhaustive! :)

I'm interested in getting either the personal or business SPG Amex if a points bonus is announced after August 1st. The business card gives a little more points for restaurants, cell phones, and gas stations. I have a sole proprietorship business with no employees. I had the Chase Marriott Rewards business card some years ago to stack points with my Chase Marriott Rewards personal card. I am a multiple week legacy owner in MVC who is a Select level member in the Destination points program.

My questions is this: May I use the SPG Amex business card for personal vacations? Does anyone know if American Express restricts the use of its business cards to business expenses? I have very little business expense and no business travel and I would be using the SPG Amex business card for personal use to accumulate more points with restaurant, cell phone, and gas station spend, in addition to paying for expenses at MVC and Stariott hotels.

Credit card companies don't care how you use the business credit cards.

And even if they cared, how would Amex know an expense was not a business expense? They wouldn't.
