Can Someone Explain Regional Blocks in II Specifically Marriott and DVC.

Please bare with my beginner questions, but this first year of timesharing with my resales incredibly well. I am still navigating the ins and outs of exchanging. I have tried the search function here on tugg but i can’t seem to figure out how the Orlando blocks work. Is it the specific unit or the entire account. Trying to figure out if I should add a newly acquired Grand Vista to my already existing II account, or open a 2nd account strictly for the Grand Vista.
( for reference this grand vista is an EOY gold -Florida club- bought specifically to lock off and use every even fall in the 1bdr side & deposit studio side for use on odd years)

I already have a II account that has my VV & Marriott Willow ridge in it. Both had been previously locked off and have been used to exchange into DVC. I would like to continue to have this as an option. What I am not sure of is if I adding Grand vista unit to existing account will shut the other units out of Orlando.

Will adding the Grand Vista - block out DVC or any other Orlando area exchanges using the other units?

Also I was almost positive I had read somewhere that Marriott has other “regional” blocks and Williamsburg was one of them is that correct? Are there others?

Only that resort deposit is blocked. There will be no impact to your other ownerships.

The II T&C lists the regions that have blocks. But, I believe it goes deeper than the region, it is actually the individual resort in that region that holds the block. Example: Williamsburg. I can exchange my Williamsburg ownership into all area resorts, except the 2 Marriotts.
