Can I use "holding account" points for Interval

I have never used MVC points for Interval, so I am not sure how the allocation process works. If I request an exchange on Interval, will I be able to pick which points are being used? Can I use the points that are sitting in the 60 day holding account (I tried to rent a unit earlier in the year with no luck so I had to cancel and the points are sitting in the holding account).

I also welcome any other good options to use these points? I am trying to book some 60 day out vacations, but the options are extremely limited.

I was told you could use the holding points on II within the restricted booking window, but not convert the points into a week and deposit into II.
The agent I chatted with changed her mind about the rules a few times and finally settled on that answer so you might want to try a chat for yourself.

I believe what you would do is go onto II under exchange, my units, then the Marriott vacation club destinations “points” and then you chose the number of points you want to use and search or place the request. If you find something or the request comes through MVC needs to move the points to II- the 2 systems don’t interact on their own so I would expect you could choice which points you use- but I haven’t done this so again you might want to chat with MVC.

I would call MVC and see if you can get them to do a short notice deposit if you don't have other ways to use them. You might also consider resort credit or paying for future travel insurance. Non great choices but it might be the lessor of evils at this point. If you do an exchange and it's within the cancelation period you should be able to use the points but you might have to call MVC to do so.
