Our sale got approved we are just waiting for a deed. Can i call HGVC and ask for access to the website so I can browse while I wait?

You can't access the Web site without your Hilton owner number, which you won't get until the closing process is complete and your name is in the system. I doubt they'll make an exception.

When I was notified by the closing co. that everything was complete & the deed was in the mail I called HGVC customer service. I asked if I could get my member number they gave it to me I then set up the on line account.

The official letter took a couple of weeks to get to me.

Good luck!

JM

You do not "show" them anything. When they have in their hands: (1) a certified copy of the deed, (2) a copy of the ROFR waiver, if applicable, and (3) the transfer fees, only then will they hand out an ID#. There are no "we just put the deed in the mail" memberships.

As usual Talent is correct.

I called when the closing co. notified me that the deed was in the mail to ME. I called & told them I was a new owner & I had not received the "letter" from them. I asked if they could look it up & they did.
Once you have the no. then you can log in & set up your account.

I received my copy of the deed today but not the original. Is that what I have to wait for?

That you have a copy, prob'ly means that HGVC has their copy as well. It may take them a day to two to process the transfer, but you could call Member Services at 800-932-4482 to see if they can give you a member #. With that, you can set up your online access at www.hgvc.com

You should get the original deed after it is recorded and returned to the closing agent by the county clerk.

and if you don't have your member number, they *might* be able to give you that if you give them your name and the email address that was used for your purchase.

At least I was able to get this going using the above method. About 4 days after I did this was I notified by my Realtor who was notified by the closing company that I could contact HGVC and they gave me the member number that I gotten a few days earlier calling HGVC and they found us in their system by use of name and email we used for the closing company.

Even if you do nothing, in a week or two, you'll get a letter from HGVC with a membership card, followed by its bible, the "Members Guide." You'll also get a welcome kit from HHonors with a "silver" membership card.

If you have another HH account #, the two can be combined into one. You may also want to sign up for an affiliated CC from Am-Ex or Visa to boost your HH-point totals.

BTW, the Members Guide is required reading. It could easily take you 3 or 4 times thru, b4 you can pass the test. But you'll find lots of nifty pictures to make you think, "Damn, I should'a bought more points!"

I called, they gave me my membership number but no account. I went into the website and tried to create a password but all I got was an error message saying that it couldn't be processed at this time. The lady who gave me the number said it could take 4 to 8 weeks to get my deed.

If you go to http://www.hgvclub.com/login.php.

On the right it say's " create an account" click there. The next page will ask for your Membership Number then it asks for you to enter a password twice and your e mail address twice. It also asks for the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Once you do this you have created your account.

JM

Also if they gave you your membership number then they already have you in the system.

Call Member Services and press ext. 4 for other then 3 for owner transfers and maintenance questions. Give them your member number and ask them if it has been inputed. It is the last step after creating your account it has to be inputed into the computer by HGVC. I called and they had my member number but asked me to wait to create an internet account until it was all inputed into the system. They asked that I call back in two days to check to see if it was in the system. I called back two days later and it was so I then set up my security questions and logged on five minutes later. My whole process from buying to login-on = Five Weeks.

Good luck

They had a different membership number than the one I was originally given, they found it by checking the control number on the deed. I now have access :)
