I saw the Crystal Cove State Beach cottages this past September when we stayed at NCV. The location is great RIGHT on the beach and I loved the Beachcomber Restaurant, but.... the beach itself was NOT good for swimming or boogie boarding. It looked so dangersous.

I'm sure many of the places in the article are great to stay at.

We went down to Crystal Cove for the first time this past fall. It is a great little place.
