Just back from a week as a guest of RCI owner who traded and got us into a 2BR....we were given the crappiest view but were able to switch midweek when we "downgraded" from a 2 BR (which we didn't need) to a 1BR with a pool and ocean view. Enjoyed it very much.

Interval (which I rely on) only seems to be given studios and I am sure those are parking lot views like given to RCI.

Like to go back but we certainly don't want to buy into Hilton paradigm which replaced Diamond which replaced Monarch.
Any owners looking on renting their week for 2026 or 2027 ? Or any other success getting into resort without paying to much?

Curious - were you charged the 1200 peso per day resort fee on top of whatever other exchange fee's your friend paid? We currently own some monarch points but not enough to stay at azul every year, trying to figure out the best way to be able to go annually.....
 
Cabo Azul is available in DEX and probably Interval since Diamond used Interval previous to DEX. There looked to be lots of empty/unused units during the 2 weeks I was there, so I would presume the developer has a large number of units that they place on exchange company sites.
I just came back on the 14th as well, and there was no resort fee as I used DEX to book. I own Embarc points so am not Diamond "The Club" member.
 
Anyone with experience staying at one of the 3 BR oceanfront penthouses Yet.

I am dying to get a review on one of these units. I have a reservation for Jan 2027.

Yes, we have stayed in one multiple times. They are absolutely amazing. Stayed in those as well as a one bedroom unit.

Will report back after our March stay. I did tour one at a sales meeting there though.... They are nice... Very big and nice deck to hang out on.
 
Normally we stay in a 2 Bedroom by the Serenity/Adult Pool. In 1 week we are checking into a 2 Bedroom Deluxe Ocean View at Cabo Azul. This week we are at our AI Timeshare Royal Solaris. Which is right next door.

We stayed in that year before last and it was nice. Good view out to the main pool and then ocean
