I'm holding a week for next year (early Nov) at Cabo Azul. It is an RCI extra vacation that I am booking only to use up an expiring credit on my account. The cost is $360 plus a daily resort fee - looks to be about $40 per day (roll eyes). My questions are about the studio itself. The description indicate square footage of 692, but the fact sheet says 555. Does anyone know which one is correct? It also indicates that in addition to the mini fridge, there is a microwave, but the Cabo Azul website does not list it as an amenity for a junior suite. So lots of conflicting info. I am honestly pretty easy going but I would like to be able to heat up something in the microwave occasionally, and I like sitting out on my balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning but not if my room looks into a wall. I guess what I am really after is - how bad are the studios here? :p Should I do it?

We belong to Cabo Azul. We would never stay in a Studio. We like the one and two bedrooms over looking the Adult Quiet Pool. Short walk to the Beach for Sunrise. We never go to the main pool.

Normally I pass on studios too, but +600 square feet has me considering it.

Btw are studios the same as junior suites?

Go to DRI Home Page. Destinations. Mexico. Cabo Azul. You can look at the various accommodations.

Studio = Jr Suite. Some have blocked views. Some have partial pool view. Mini Frig and Coffee Maker only. Size was not listed on the DRI Page.

I stayed at Cabo Azul a few months ago.
You would have to go with an expectation of no view. For the price, it's a bargain.

That's what I am leaning towards. I am coming to terms with no way to cook anything. We may just stay for 4 or 5 nights.

There were several restaurants just outside the front door, (and now that I'm remembering, a nice casual spot next door) and onsite coffee shop with snacks. They have a high end restaurant on site, but it was closed while I was there. Do take note that beach is lovely to walk, but not swimmable.

There is/was a Javier‘s on site. I’m not sure if that’s open currently. There are several restaurants across the street and a Comer Grocery a couple of blocks away. There are several inexpensive restaurants around there. Enjoy!

Luckily it's Mexico so I can usually find something that is not fried. I can only take so much, lol. I think we're going to do it. We usually eat out at least once a day on a trip, so not too big of a deal.

Thank you all for the encouragement!
