Buying credits from private person

New to this site. I have owned WM credits for a long time.I got pushed into more through Wyndham. I have time to rescind.
My question is - I just want to buy more Worldmark credits. I want a good price. Is it safe to buy from another owner? What does “local pickup “ mean? I have to fly somewhere to close the sale?

No pickup, transfer is handled by Worlmark. Transfer fee of $399 is a Worldmark fee to handle transfer between buyer and seller.

There is dedicated WM sales area at wmowners.com. They also have a list of trusted resellers.
 
"Local pickup" -- if you saw the term on eBay, it just means eBay has no option for electronic delivery. It's what I (and others) use for a mode of shipping for timeshare rentals/sales.
 
Ebay is safe, just buy from a seller that has a decent amount of positive feedback specifically for selling timeshares. Your risk is low in any event given how cheap Wyndham/Worldmark resale contracts sell for, but you’re not going to get scammed by an ebay seller with a lot of positive feedback selling timeshares.
