Marriages on the line! Woman confronts cheating lineman husband after thousands of the workers descend on Florida after Hurricane Ian - and are immediately lusted after by 'bucket bunny' housewives
  • The altercation, posted to TikTok this week, is filmed from the first-person by a woman as she confronts a power line technician - also known as lineworkers
  • She was one of several internet users this past week to warn others to hold onto their men as they head down to work in Florida in the wake of the storm
  • It is part of a bizarre internet trend where the strapping young workers have found themselves lusted after by local 'bucket bunny' housewives
  • That term, of course, is in reference to the bucket trucks that lineworkers stand in order to safely reach high-voltage electrical lines that need repairing
  • Linemen, meanwhile, have been tirelessly working throughout the week and last on relief efforts from the natural disaster, which has left more than 100 dead

Makes no sense to me. There aren’t women in the buckets, but of course “bunny” we will be stuck with forever. I think if I’d been without electricity I might be mighty appreciative, but not That appreciative. So are the theoretical women lusting after guys running lines in trenches called “trench bunnies”?

where are these guys getting the time and energy to sleep around? Further, how interesting are women that haven’t been able to shower for days? I doubt the first thing that storm ravaged ladies are seeking is sex with elec workers and I think the workers can do better by last call at pub.

but, a person that cheats will find a way. No matter their occupation, location, relationship status, etc.

I would not be in favor of labeling linemen as cheaters. One bad apple? Happens everywhere.

Consider the source of the story before you get wound up. Another story out of the UK about crazy Americans by a tabloid sold at the checkout counter.

I've seen this sort of thing first hand. The following is exaggerating, big time. (Obviously.)

"Bucket bunny" (new term to me. But I get it) to lineman: "Hey, can you turn us on right now?

Lineman: "Well, I have this hospital, children's shelter and blood bank I have to do first."

Bunny, disrobing: "Are you sure you can't turn us on right now? I'm turned on right now."

"The guys i know would say, "sorry mam, I have a loving wife back home", "The old people at hospital, the children, the blood will thaw. they need me first" "I am tempted, but not today". Reminds me of all the midterm campaign adds running right now.

"Florida Woman" is just as much a thing as "Florida Man."

The most famous crime report ever written in the Key West Citizen was two women fighting over a marital aid at the Key West airport.

TikTok and Daily Mail, sure to be a BS clickbait story.

Early in my working life I operated a bucket truck, was never hit on by any bunnies. The closest I came was a honk and whistle from a lady trucker.

Just because I first came across the article in The Daily Mail, doesn't make it false.

Here is another take from Slate:

Are ALL the posts in the lounge related to timesharing?
No, but the utilities crew from Dominion out of Commonwealth of Virginia & North Carolina are not seeking the services of bunnies from Florida .

IMO, the TUG website is above trash reporting articles.

As already mentioned this seems like clickbait...

In the end the real story is that people sometimes cheat when they are separated from their spouse due to travel.. not sure that is anything new, and I doubt the utility workers are doing that anymore than the general population
