Breezy Shores Info

Can anyone give me any info on what the Breezy Shores Resort & Beach Club, #5018, will be like in late July. Is the location in the mountains or is it on the plains? We've never been to Minnesota, North Dakota, or South Dakota and have no idea on what to expect the weather to be like. How are the units at this resort? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have never been to that particular resort so I can't comment on the resort. However, I live in Minnesota and there are no mountains here. This past week the temps have been in the upper 90's.

That's why Minnesotans head "up nort to da lake" in the summer. It's often much cooler by the lake, and you can always jump in! I've only been to Breezy Point & Causeway, myself, so can't help you on particulars, but Minnesota resorts are great if you like playing on the water. That area has lots of tourists, so you'll find some shopping & restaurants.

I stayed at Breezy Shores in Detroit Lakes a couple years back. I have relatives in Detroit Lakes, so I thought it would be good to visit them. The resort is off Detroit Lakes (the lake, not the town). The units are two bedroom with the bedrooms on the second floor. There is a pool at the resort but the lake was just outside the unit. I would stay there again. It wasn't the fanciest resort that I've been at and it didn't offer a lot of amenities, but it was clean and unpretensious. The staff was very nice.

Minnesota is flat especially in the NW portion of the state where Detroit Lakes is. Other parts of the state may have some rolling hills, especially around Duluth, but no mountains unless you consider overpasses a mountain. Temperatures have been hot there as well as most of the country.
