Branson vacation

We leave for a week in Branson tomorrow! Will be meeting friends from AZ for the week. Have been looking forward to this for a long time. I was in an accident in March. I was hit head on by a motorcycle that was in my lane on a curve. I could do nothing to avoid hitting her, and she died as a result of her injuries. It has been an extremely difficult time dealing with all the guilt and depression, etc. I am hoping this vacation will help with some of the healing. Thanks for letting me put this out here. Any prayers for her family will also be appreciated. Thanks.

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time in Branson. Since we only live a little over 5 hours away, we make generally make a couple of long weekend trips there each year. We especially enjoy the fall weather and smaller crowds after the big summer family season is over.

Having had a similar experience 30 years ago, with a drunk running into the path of my car, you have my sympathy. Unfortunately, I can tell you that coming to Branson will not make what you are feeling go away. Also unfortunately, you will likely relive that moment forever, as I do occassionally, wishing you could somehow change the outcome, or prevent it.

Or, for that matter, pick someone I would rather have hit.

Thank you, JLB. Your kind words help. Unfortunately, we are already back, and I did not have access to the internet while we were gone. You are right about never forgetting, and your life is never the same. Our vacation in Branson was wonderful, as usual. I did mention you to our friends, and we would really like to meet you the next time we are there. It is back to work tomorrow and life goes on. Darn Will have to start planning our next visit to Branson. As a side note, we saw Six while we were there and I think it is the BEST show in Branson right now. (Of course, we don't see that many while were are there, but these guys are amazing!)

She finally got her sister, the DOOGOO, to come visit, to see how the poor folks live. The rest of her family were here too, so we had beaucoup kin folk on the Margaritaville Dock all weekend.

Aunt Jenny rented a jet ski Saturday so you can imagine what it was like!
