I have never been to Branson. We were thinking of going there Thanksgiving 2010. Are most of the attractions open that time of year and what can we expect weather wise?

Weather is generally fall like with temps ranging from the 50's to low 70's. Generally speaking it seems to me that most of the attractions are open but, we generally go there for the Christmas Lights. SDC will be having their Old Time Christmas presentations with Christmas shows and the park lit up with millions of lights. We go to Branson for a few days every November of December mainly to see the lights. I don't know how many of the shows stay open but, my bet is most will be open at least the first part of the week. We have been there the week of Thanksgiving and I don't recall anything being closed but, like I said, we don't do a lot of shows.
Here's a photo album of Silver Dollar City's Christmas display for 2007. Click the photo to take you to the entire album.
We have been there several time for Thanksgiving Week and most of the shows are open. Some may be closed on Thanksgiving Day but there are still some open too. We never had trouble finding shows to go to. If you plan to go out to eat on Thanksgiving some places may require reservations...so be aware...long lines too. The last two times we went we stayed at Big Cedar and ate at the resort restaurant there.
We went to Branson for Thanksgiving week a few years ago and had a great time. The weather was a bit chilly, but pleasant. Silver Dollar City was decorated with Christmas lights and was very pretty. We too stayed at Big Cedar and loved it. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at the resort and it was very nice (although a bit expensive). Go for it!
Be careful during Thanksgiving weekend. That is the absolute worst time to visit Silver Dollar City. They have less rides open, and the crowds were the worst that I've ever seen. And I've been there a lot!
What that means though, since it's a busy time of year, is that just about everything in Branson will be open.

Typically, the rides that aren't open are the rides the get you wet. We're there in the fall/winter pretty much every year and the coasters and non-water rides have always been open weather permitting.
As to crowds it's very much hit or miss. Normally crowds have been reasonably lite but, last year we were there over pearl harbor day and you just about couldn't move the crowds were so large. Unfortunately, we were wanting to leave when the big Christmas tree went off. We had to wait patiently for the show to be over in order to get through the crowds to the exit.
