A favorite Branson eatery, the Fall Creek Steakhouse, burned to the ground today, well done, so to speak.

No one was hurt.

They have already announced they will rebuild.

Where was that located? We were just there, ate in a great place but I can't recall the eact name.

Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House was on 165 about a mile south of Green Mountain Road. They had a big steer in front, and had lots of antique toys and I think airplane models on display. They also had the throwed rolls.

We tried a lunch special there that was fish, and it was really good.

We have given up on eating in Branson. We eat while we are there, but we sure don't go there to eat.

The steer is still there. It appeared on the news last night. :D

Don't give up on eating here; we now have a Famous Dave's.

Hey JLB, my folks are headed up over Labor Day weekend. What's the progress on the development down on Taneycomo?

Thanks!

hmmm.. Wonder what "Rudy the Roll thower" will do in the interim... Glad no one was injured!

It's going just fine. It's really a nice place. Most of the shops are open and they are working on the highrises now.

The fountain and fire show are pretty awesome. We ate early at Famous Dave's a couple weeks ago and then made it to the noon National Anthem.

Wow, Famous Dave's twice in the same thread! :)

We just came back from a family trip to Branson. Our first restaurant experience was at Falls Creek on Sunday Aug 20.. We thought the kids would enjoy the tossed rolls. Imagine our surprise when at the Kirby Magic show Thurs nite the MC mentioned the fire. We thought it would be a small kitchen fire or something. After the show we drove past it ( we stayed at Palace View so we were right near Falls Creek). What a shock. We had tears in our eyes and the kids were really upset.
