I wanted to borrow points (about 7,000) from my 2016 allotment (there are plenty available) for a December 2015 reservation. However, the option is not given to my using the online method. I think it has to do with the fact that it automatically wants to put from my credit pooled points. Is borrowing negated by the fact that I have credit pool points? I wanted to pull the points over to 2015 so I can deposit a certain amount into RCI before the end of the year, however with the new methods and such, I'm not sure it can be done.

Thanks in advance for any replies. Much appreciated.

If you borrow points from next year, they will return to next year when you cancel the reservation. With the new system, you can not move the points to another use year by using borrow/cancel as before.

Shouldn't the 2016 points be available for deposit to RCI without going through the hassle with trying to move them? If they are not available, you can make a 2015 reservation and rent the points ($8/1000 online). When you cancel, the rented points will become 2015 points which can be deposited to RCI.
