Booking next year with 2025 points

I have 500+ remaining saved points from last year, 9000+ 2025 points and 9000+ 2026 points, yet when I attempt to book 5 or more nights for next spring, it’s telling me I have insufficient points. Do I need to pay to save 2025 points before I book in 2026?

yes, you need to save your 2025 points to use it in 2026. So recommendation is always borrow from the next year

Your 500 points remaining from last year (assuming they are saved from 2024) can’t be used for 2026 reservations. They will expire at the end of the year and you can’t save them again.
