Got this e-mail yesterday.

Dear Valued Owner,

Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort is currently experiencing a delay with renovations that is impacting our 3 and 4 bedroom units on property. We are working diligently with our project teams to maximize occupancy in the upcoming days and weeks.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate all previously confirmed reservations during the time period for which you are scheduled to arrive.

At this time, we are seeking volunteers who can cancel their reservation or reschedule their stay at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for a later date. Volunteers will receive a full refund of points used for the reservation, plus an additional 25% of the points! For example, if your reservation used 100,000 points, we will return 125,000 points to your account.

This offer will be available on a first come, first served basis.
If we do not receive sufficient volunteers, it will be necessary to downgrade or cancel reservations that were booked most recently.

Please immediately reply to this email if you are interested in this offer (and be sure to provide us your best telephone number) or call us at 866-495-1993. We are open 8am to 8pm EST.

If the points given are still going to be for 2017, there is pretty limited use of them at this point. Though, if you are Platinum VIP, can you bank them?
 
Good point. The points and extra points would presumably go back to what ever bucket of points they came from and carry whatever use rights that bucket(s) otherwise have.

Do not know. Called the phone number and a recording said it was Owner Care then it automatically transferred to another line that said it was the Resort Emergency Information Line and basically leave a message.
 
Just got off the phone with Wyndham option 3 than option 2. The recording indicates this is Owner Care. There answer was short and not so sweet. The position is I got the e-mail on what was happening. They are not helpful at all on this issur
 
What dates do you have reservations at Bonnet Creek? Have you called the number you were given?

Yes, to no avail, it said leave a message and they would call back within a hour. That did not happen. It initially answers as Owner Care leave a message then transfers you to the line identifies above. The owner care number option 3 than 2 had me read the e-mail to them and denied knowing about that line than got smart with me. Not sure wish reservation they are looking at. I have one in December for a guest but with a different name than the one they used.
 
Mine says 3 and 4 bedroom units are overbooked.

I emailed them.

I called them and left a message.

And once when I called, someone answered.

Not sure the time frame, but I had a Nov 10-13 reservation that I relinquished and was given +25% for.

I have a couple others in the first 2 weeks I do not want to relinquish and will be hoping for the best (but prepared for a substitution).

They said due to the hurricane, taking resources away from the work at Bonnet Creek, they are behind on the renovations for the main building and tower 3. I had heard the main building was to be done Nov 1st (that must be what's behind) and tower 3 was scheduled for the end of November (before these latest developments). They said work had restarted, but no new date for when they'll be done.

However, if you watch availability at Bonnet Creek - nothing has been available Nov 1-11. There have been rooms from the 11th forward. Thus, one could fairly well surmise the issues are likey in those first 10 nights of November.

If they don't get enough volunteers, they will be downgrading 3 bedroom reservations to a 2 bedroom + 1 bedroom OR 3 - 1 bedroom units.

My suggestion is email, call, and try to call from time to time :)
