Don't get me wrong, some are pretty nice. I really liked the Club at Big Bear Village, for example. But the Sheratons, Westins and Marriotts I've been to so far have been at least as good, if not better than any of the Bluegreens I went to. And the average cost per night I paid via MFs was actually more with Bluegreen than what I'm paying through Vistana.
And on top of that, some Bluegreens are just plain not worth it to me at all. I recall the joys of the shower head shooting off of the wall when turned on, followed by the door lock on the new room we got moved to malfunctioning, necessitating an hour wait for it to be fixed so we could get back in. That was Club La Pension in New Orleans. The Eilan in San Antonio was unimpressive to me as well. The pool area is nice, and it is very close to Six Flags, but the rooms are basically just hotel rooms, like with Marriott Pulse locations (which I try to avoid), and the parking situation was just crappy as well.
