I wish they would let you transfer your Jet Blue miles to United. But that is not happening.

I have a Jet Blue credit card and belong to their loyalty program. But the only time I fly them is once a year to NYC. The card fee pays for the baggage fees so I've kept it and I have been able to use miles a few times for flights. But at the end of the year I am planning to cancel the credit card. I just don't fly them enough to make it worth while.

Yeah they do have an odd flight network. I am particularly a loyal to JetBlue at times. Both DW and have separate JetBlue Plus cards at $99 / per year. Collecting those TrueBlue points. I would think that is the card you have as well. If you are at an endpoint in their destination route it does not make much sense to pay the annual fee. I am guessing you fly from ABQ to JFK and I see only 1 flight per day. That seems to be the case for most of the JFK to westbound destinations like SLC, Phoenix, Las Vegas sometimes 2 flights per day? Also many of eastbound flights from the west are typically red eyes. They try to maximize revenue.

The fact that they are based in NY and serve the majority of NYC area airports (most notably JFK) as well as BDA Bradley (Hartford, CT) and Boston Logan makes is appealing to me. Since they also have routes to many of the same TS destinations also helps (FL, Aruba, AZ, CA, SLC, Las Vegas, Palm Springs CA) they also fly out of White Plains HPN to PBI (Palm Beach). As a matter of fact they have multiple flights per day from HPN to PBI. HPN right next door to CT tells you something about the clientele (Fairfield County CT - Greenwich, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Westchester NY Scarsdale, Katonah, Bedford (Think Martha Stewart), Chappaqua... you get the picture.

Also at HPN White Plains there are some of those private charter outfits like FlexJet... oh and get this one Millionair https://www.millionair.com/

At the same time I am somewhat of a cynic when it comes to JetBlue since they also do little things that annoy me. It could also be a function of the chaos at JFK when I fly there? However if you have not figured out by now I am sometimes overly critical and cynical. Go Figure I grew up in NYC. But I escaped 8 years ago.

Most of the time I fly Delta or JetBlue. With respect to United however.. Not a fan either. But from this news I may have to acquiesce?

I received an email from Jet Blue stating this: Arriving soon: Earn and redeem TrueBlue points on United Airlines flights.

Who knows if you can transfer, but looks like you may be able to book The United flights with TrueBlue points.

I hated flying on United when I lived in Chicago several years ago, but had good recent experiences when I fly them occasionally. I only fly them now because my Silver status from my Marriott Titanium membership gives me access to preferred seating. I find them to be much better than American. Perhaps United is trying to get more access to NY markets since Newark is a mess.

Yes, you can book. But everything I've read so far says you cannot transfer miles/points.
