We had some flood warnings today until 6pm and a flood watch until the afternoon tomorrow. This is the most rain we have had here since I have been here.

the first picture is of our view of the ocean from our apartment. You can’t even see the ocean today.

The rest are of the canal and all the debris that came down from the Ko’olau. The golf course, dog park and school grounds are all flooded.

The traffic report on the radio had it right today. They said there is some “Ponding” on the roads. There was a lot on my drive home. A few spots were almost up to my doors in some lanes.

When I looked out my office window yesterday, all I could see was gray and rain...steady almost all day. One of the longest rainy days I've seen here. Water on the streets, but not to the level you had. If there are spots with water up to my doors, we'd be in trouble considering I have a Jeep with a lift kit and 37" tires. Thankfully, for vehicles with "normal" clearance levels, the water on the road wasn't as high as it was for you.
Outside of a glimpse early in the morning, I don't recall seeing the sun. Were it not for increasing darkness, I couldn't tell when sunset happened. It's overcast again today. Forecast has it as cloudy all day, but we may see the sun around 1PM.

I drive a Jeep Compass. Not a lofted Heavy duty Jeep like yours. There were lanes in two spots on my way home that some cars went through that were just below the doors. They were big lakes too, not just puddles. Most people were changing lanes to avoid having to try to go through them.

Things are pretty much back to normal today. No ponding.:)
