I have 124K points that I moved from Wyndham to RCI last year. I have never booked through RCI.

Is there a trick to finding resorts? The search seems a bit overwhelming. So many options, some nice resorts, some look like they haven't been updated since 1950.

RCI Weeks is what is associated with all Wyndham accounts UNLESS you brought directly from Wyndham which is why those Wyndham accounts have access to RCI Weeks and RCI Points inventory.

Via the Wyndham portal into RCI... if you can see bookings on RCI for 1-6 day lengths .. you have access to RCI Weeks and RCI Points inventory. Only 7 night books ... you have RCI Weeks.

Look/search for LOW season resort stays in a region. Early November along the oceans, for example.

You also might want to take a look at the Sightings forum if you haven't before. That will give you an idea of the types of resorts that are highly sought after. Honestly, the best value to Wyndham points in RCI is for those higher-value exchanges. Then, if you have an idea of where and when you might want to go somewhere, the best way to snag one of those nicer locations is to set up an ongoing search.

I'm a bargain hunter and I almost exclusively use the points equivalent of Last Call (used to be called Instant Exchange). These are last minute deals that can be had for around $75 worth of points and a $239 exchange fee but no tax. The availability is a good bit better than Last Call. To find what is offered, look in th exchange section and click on

Points Range (7 Nts)

Then click on 10,000 points or less.

I don't see a button that lets you filter by points range. You are searching under "Exchange Vacations" and have an RCI Weeks account?

a wyndham, resale points owner does not have access to RCI points inventory, and wyndham points purchased from the developer that do see rci points inventory will never see an RCI points vacation for under 10,000 points.

When wyndham owners owners go to RCI through the wyndham portal, they see vacations denominated in wyndham points , not RCI points

Perhaps the original heading should have been Wyndham points instead of "RCI Points".

Agreed the title didnt tell the story very well, but it is posted on the Wyndham forum and the op was clear in the body of the post.. they had deposited wyndham points into RCI

When I search RCI through the Wyndham portal, I am able to see availability for stays that are 1-6 days as well as 7 days. So, I can click on a Saturday for check in and then I can click on a check out date a few days later.

Some of the resorts I have looked at only have 7 day options.

So, I gather that means I slipped through some kind of crack in the system and I can book for less than a week? I own two contracts. Both are resale.

Wyndham owners who brought from the developer are supposed to have RCI Points access along with RCI weeks.

Wyndham re-owners should not have access to RCI Points...but sometimes, if the original account owner was a direct buyer and YOU took over the last deed in their account (via the resale market), they may just have changed NAMES on all the accounts (which could have included the RCI linked accounts).

Truthfully, Wyndham has been known to mess up ... but if you have RCI Points and ONLY resale deeds in your account.... say, "Thanks" but at any time, it might vanish.
