Best way to cut pergo-type laminate boards?

We purchased what we think is really nice laminate flooring from Lowe's. Seems very easy to put together but not sure about the best way to cut the boards.

I was looking at some inexpensive miter saws with bench but wasn't sure if board would fit on bench. A friend suggested just a circular saw with saw horse.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Power Miter Saw.

We used a power miter saw -- just an el cheapo Black & Decker, not 1 of those really good ones from Home Depot or Sears or Lowes.

The el cheapo Black & Decker does not saw all the way through a Pergo-width board in 1 cut, so we have to cut twice to slice all the way through a plank.

Lining up the blade with the previously cut slot was semi-tricky till we got used to it.

Maybe a larger power miter saw ( -- i.e., a more expensive model -- ) would cut all the way through in a single stroke, I don't know.

Go and rent a dust free laminent cutter called a guilloteen for cross cuts. Use a dremell or jig saw for cut outs. Use a skill saw or table saw for long cuts.

I would concur with a the use of a power miter saw.
I have found mine to be quite useful in all sorts of projects.
To reduce splinters or chips on cross-cuts, I'll use masking tape to cover and mark the cut.
