Ours was in 1990 where we got a free week to stay in Austria at a resort in Zel Em See. Included a dinner and a night out with drinks. Second prize was three free nights at the Bellagio in Vegas.

We once got a delicious, cooked to order breakfast in a nice restaurant, a cheque for $125 and a great conversation with a TS saleswoman who was more interested in hearing about our SA purchase than in trying to sell us something.

Round-Trip Airplane Tickets To Las Vegas For Two.

We had to jump through some hoops to get actual reservations & tickets using the chit we got at the freebies window, but eventually we booked the trip & got the free tickets & went -- had a nice time.

Considering we really didn't go the "timeshare tour" what we ended up getting was pretty good. The offer was free round trip tickets to Hawaii, but since we were already there they took $1000 off the purchase price of the timeshare. Yes, we bought from the developer, but this was back in 1986. :D

Any of them that we got paid as "mystery shoppers" hired by a company to do them. The best through that gig was our shopper fee, accommodations for three nights + meals and travel expenses (airline + ground). That was to shop a California company. We made a very nice mini-vacation out of that.

We also shopped a Hawaii resort (but with no airfare) but we did get to keep the $150 cash offered for the tour, plus the Shell discount card which saved us over $1,000 during our two week stay.

As for just the run of the mill, available to the public TS presentations . . . I'd have to say the $200 US greenbacks for the Palace Resorts' tour in Cancun. It was high pressure, but the $200 plus the discounts for the tours we booked through them, were very nice.

We got a 3 day cruise to cozumel through silverleaf... also had to jump through lots of hoops to get the reservations and we had to pay the taxes but it was still a great bargain.

Had a young green kid and I taught him more about timeshares than he knew - very little discussion on buying

Best we ever got to attend a timeshare presentation was 7000 pesos.....it was high high pressure but hey for that type of money we smiled the whole time...LOL

Palm Springs/ Hawaii

Years ago in Palm Springs and again in Hawaii we got pretty good gifts for attending (and not buying). This happened because the kids were with us.
In Palm Springs they doubled a dinner prom and went from $75 to $150.
In Hawaii they went from $100 to $200 all because the kids were with us.
