Hello,

Looking Between Shadow Ridge Villages, Desert Springs 1 or 2. One that has a kid friendly pool probably some shade with it going to be super hot and maybe slides and stuff. I have stayed at Shadow Ridge one time and it wasn't bad - just wondering about the Desert Springs locations if they are better.

Thanks!

I think Shadow Ridge may be the better option. Shadow Ridge has a zero entry pool in the Enclaves section. It also seems to have a few more options in the way of kiddie pools and splash pads. Desert Springs pools are older and seem more "traditional" in the sense they are more like a condo pool than a resort style pools. I have some videos of both resorts on my YouTube channel; Shadow Ridge and Desert Springs Villas.

hah! I have seen your videos when I was getting into time shares about trading in II. Got me MOC 2 BR for a 1 BR and DVC in AKL for a studio.

Shadow Ridge is by far better for little ones. Our kids grew up and learned to swim there (at age 2.)

We took kids that age to Shadow Ridge a few years ago and loved it. It's a great resort for the toddler age group, imo.

The pools/activities were great, but honestly our #1 activity was sitting on our patio watching the ducks on the pond behind the unit. It was a really neat resort to just walk around with little guys.

We wondered how the Westin Desert Willow would do in this competition/ comparison, or even the Westin Mission Hills in Palm Springs for that matter? We have been to some of the Marriott choices in Palm Desert and there is no clear winner in our opinion. Havent been to the Westins yet and had to wonder how they would rate in comparison? We dont have little ones, so that isnt our sole criteria, but we are still interested in pool comparison, for those who might be in the know here…

Comparing the pool complexes for adults (vs. 2-3 year olds) is a completely different game. Lots of threads on here doing so.

Westin Desert Willow has the quiet pool. Perfect for couples. They also have the stuff for kids and teens. Two pools have waterslides and several pools.

I just noticed getaways for a reasonable price as well. Do you think Westin Desert Willows, Westin Mission Hills or Shadow Ridge for 2 Adults and Toddler? I saw both videos but hard to decide through that without being there I guess.

I would eliminate Mission Hills. It is a toss up between Desert Willow and Shadow Ridge. Both are great resorts.
