I have 975 points left over for 2025 and am looking for an opportunity to book a week, or more if possible, in 2026.

For the sake of this thread, I'm are looking for something offseason in order to be able to use so few points. Given this, I'm perfectly fine with colder weather, non-ocean views, and other offseason limitations. I'd like at least a one bedroom villa. A quiet, relaxing resort getaway is what I'd like to find, for at least a week, on 1000 or fewer points.

Note that I did do a little searching here but didn't find this specific subject addressed. Apologies if this has already been thoroughly covered.

What places have people stayed at, and liked, that fit the description above?

Try looking at destination escapes on the owner‘s site- it’s under the destinations tab.
They are last minute but maybe something will catch your eye if you look regularly.

Agree with fasttr on Hilton head although they are all 2 BR. Also Myrtle Beach.

Best bargains in the system are HHI / Myrtle December or January, though the secret has been out on HHI for a while, so not as easy to get into.

We found HHI not all that easy to reserve for our current mid January stay. We were able to get 11 nights for about 675 points in total. Finding a whole string at a single resort may be difficult unless it is Harbour Point. The properties in Harbour Town (Harbour Club and Heritage Club) are smaller and book up faster.

I will say, a bunch of last minute availability opened up. Most likely because of the weather (it's cold) and weather elsewhere in the country (people may not have been able to get here.)

The poster is looking for 2026 (must have bankable points from 2025, I guess) and in that case there is availability if you are on it at the 13 and 12 months out release dates. My favorite use of 1000 points was the Ocean Vista room in the Ocean Dunes building of Surfwatch in early December, 1000 points per week. I was on the top floor and had sweeping panoramic views of the dunes, marsh and beach line and witnessed some amazing sunsets and sunrises (like this one attached). I've already booked two weeks for December 2025 and a week in January 2026, all at 1000 points each and at 12 months out. Harbour/Sunset Pointe has been tough this winter because they are doing a complete renovation through May and closing off buildings as they go...should be different next winter and you could stretch your points into two weeks, perhaps with a lovely water view of Broad Creek.

Tip: Avoid Monarch because they are doing major renovations on 2 of the 5 buildings next winter and it will be loud since the buildings are all in a tight cluster there.

Yeah, we were the last people to stay in the unit we were in in the Pelican building at Harbour Point. On the day of checkout they had emptied all of the furnishings out of the units on the floor we were on as well as the floor above ours. I think us in our unit was holding them back but they have 11am checkout at HP and we were also moving to another HHI resort so we could stay in our unit until the one at Harbour Club was ready. They called us a little after 10am to tell us our room was ready and we vacated.

They are working on our balconies at Heritage Club. The noise is pretty loud at times. We move to Grande Ocean today.

Glad to know the front desk person didn't exaggerate at the Heritage Club when she told me that it would be loud, though I'm sorry for you that it was true 😉 The soundproofing on the windows there is non-existent, unfortunately. I'm happy to have missed it (and the colder Arctic air) by bailing out to Orlando for 3 weeks. I get back to HHI to Grand Ocean on the 24th but I know you'll be gone by then. The hub says they're doing some type of renovation there besides the elevator work so if you have an update on that, send me a message please.

I should have been clear, yes, I will be banking 2025 points for use in 2026.

And thanks for the great advice!

As I replied in the post above, I will be banking points and can reserve 12 months ahead of time. Given that planning well ahead of time is possible, I am curious what low cost, offseason resorts people like to visit!

The lower HHI resorts during winter and Ocean Pointe during summer are good choices. I also go to Legend's Edge but usually only for a long weekend and with the points discount. Manor Club is a decent bet and many resorts with smaller units will be a consideration. I assume this will be all the points available to you to book with. You could always rent points to be transferred in to go for higher cost options which would likely be my choice.
