Hello Everyone,

I am a new MVC points owner. I was wondering if anyone has any opinions about what locations feature the best deals / nicest courses for golf (preferably on the east coast). I’ve heard there is a nice deal for golf at one of the Hilton head properties for guests at the resort?

Thanks

Manor Club would be a nice option to consider. Free rounds at check in. Don’t recall how many based on days staying.

Last November, I was offered free rounds of golf at Manor Club.

As generic golf location recommendations, both Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach are great golf destinations. Countless courses to choose from in either area.

Marriott Heritage Club at Harbour Town at HHI offers 14 free rounds a week in the "Heritage Collection". It is basic golf but to play special courses you will want to play the other courses in Sea Pines (including Harbour Town, which is literally across the street) or Wexford, Colleton, Belfair, etc. But the location is terrific, right next to the harbor.

Thank you for this. Are the 14 free rounds only if you stay a full week? Also do you know where I can find this information online? That seems like an incredible deal.

I was also wondering if anyone knew if there were discounts / deals for golf at st kitts?

Thank you - do you recall any of the details of their offer? Also how did you like the course?
Here is a similar thread on Manor Club golf, with more info. It’s also worth pointing out that I stayed on Club Points and was offered the free golf. I wanted to point that out, as the linked thread did not mention using Points for the ressy.

Apparently, this was a standard offering to guests in this period, which I wasn't aware of in advance. I didn't have clubs and we had a full schedule anyway, so didn't try the course.

I just arrived at the Manor Club two days ago. I had purchased a 'getaway' for here through Interval International.
I was offered the six free rounds on golf when I checked in because 'I am a Marriott owner'. Was told that the only cost would be $25 for a cart.
Definitely a good deal.

I second Manor Club. There are many more good/better courses in Williamsburg also and pricing is good.

"Best Golf Vacation" or "Cheapest Golf"?

The absolute best places to play golf are Phoenix and Palm Desert. Look at the Golf Digest list of best places to play in Arizona and Palm Springs area. You will find a dozen excellent courses to play in each.

If you want cheap, go to Heritage club and get 12 free rounds a week at 3 very average courses.

The Wildfire Golf course affiliated with Marriott Canyon Villas in Phoenix is really nice. The property is adjacent and basically “shared” with JW Marriott Desert Ridge. It’s a great area in Phoenix with lots to do and very good restaurants. Don’t know where you are coming from but Phoenix in late Fall and spring is absolutely spectacular!

scottsdale is great for golf i am going there next week

As others have stated above, MVCI has many resorts that have golf on-site or nearby.

In the US East Coast....I'd say all MVCI@Hilton Head, Ocean Watch@Myrtle Beach, or Manor Club@Williamsburg are great options.

Outside the US East Coast....Arizona is great, Palm Desert excellent, Hawaii, etc. Plenty to choose from.

The HHI courses are far from average. They would have to improve maintenance considerably just to become average. There are many courses, however most are private, that are way above average.
