Hi, I just got a new Dell laptop and stuck with Windows XP. I am looking for a calendar program that will let me add appointments, etc. and will also allow me to put in birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

I know some of you will have wonderful suggestions for me. Thanks for taking your time to reply. :cheer: :cheer:

I thought I would try Goodle calendar this afternoon. I added it to my iGoogle page. Now the page won't load. Now I also can't sign on to the regular Google site. Strange........

Try logging out and logging back into google (via gmail.com or whatever). If it was a server problem, I'm sure it's cleared up by now.

I have the lightning calendar installed as a thunderbird add-on, and have it set up to sync with google calendar (a process that isn't for the faint of heart to get it set up properly, but when you do get it working you can update either one and it updates the other one), but I really don't bother using the lightning calendar view at all. I just keep one instance of my web browser open to my google calendar.

google calendar will let you import and export ical/ics files, so you can experiment with different calendar programs until you find the one you like.

I was finally able to get back on the Google site and do like the calendar. The price is right, too. Thanks for the encouragement.
