Bermuda Timeshares

I know of the St. George's Club at one end of the Island.

It's smaller and quiet, up on a hill overlooking the harbor. It's an easy walk to town from there. The resort is nice and the town is quaint with little nooks & crannies of shops & restaurants.

They're only on RCI I think.

Love Bermuda- however re St George's Club -I've been there as well as other parts (non timeshare) of this beautiful island country. St George is not centrally located (it's on the extreme eastern part of Bermuda), and therefore it's not very convenient, despite the very good public bus system, to visit other areas of the island. In season they do have a high speed ferry that makes things a little better to visit.

The comment about an easy walk to town has to have an asterisk next to it!! It's an easy walk distance wise, but the resort is on top of a hill, and the walk will be challenging unless you're in good walking shape. In fact for those with any type of physical limitation- this easy walk will be impossible.

There was supposed to have something being done with Hilton as timeshares regarding Ariel Sands owned by the family of actor Michael Douglas. That seems to have changed though. Been thinking of Bermuda too for next year myself but want a good central location since we'll need to use buses to get to the beaches.

May I suggest that you consider going in October or November? That time of yera is very pleasant, and you can sometimes get a discount from the high season. I just returned and the weather was in the low to mid seventies during the day.

Thanks Don. I went to Bermuda in college in March eons ago and it was not very warm at all. It's only a 2 hr flight from Boston. Thought of a cruise from Boston but you do not have much time in port. I'd rather be at the pink beaches. 4 days is enough if we fly. I know meals are really pricey if not on a cruise.

Did you stay in a TS or do a resort package deal?

I just came back from the Princess Hotel in Hamilton. Prior to that I had been to the St Georges Club; The now defunct (I think) Belmont Hotel; Elbow Beach Resort.

I had also gone while in college in March eons ago- maybe your eons and mine are the same? Mine was in 1975

Don I think my eon was 1973. Just missed you a bit. We stayed in the center of Hamilton but not at the Princess and I recall that the three other girls I went with almost died when we walked into the dining hall all dressed up to see a sea of white haired seniors. We feared we missed college week but had a great time anyway but it was too cold to go into the water.

My MIL loves Surf Club on the island and used to go with her brother and daughters for many years.

My spouse has never been to Bermuda.

I went to Elbow beach resort the next year for my honeymoon.

It's a beautiful place, friendly people, and very close if you live on the East coast

If you stay at St. George, they have a free shuttle to the beach that runs on demand.
