i know this was posted before and i thought i saved it but i can't seem to find it so can someone please post the list of resorts in the berkely group portfolio. thanks :D

I thought the Berkley Group was an insurance holding company that publicly traded shares.

Berkely group

At least a part of the Berkely group seems to be those timeshare resorts under the managment of Daily Management Inc. which can be found by going to Dailymanagmentresorts.com or looking at my webpage vacationvillagetradingcompany.com. I set my webpage up so that Daily Management resorts property owners could trade among themselves without having to pay the higher trading fees that RCI etc. charge.
At this point not alot of interest for this type of thing from the timeshare owners but hey I thought I'd give it a try.
I know that sounds like an Advertisement and I'll understand if this is taken off the board.
Hopefully I did answer Irish's question.

VVTrader - good information from you for those of us who are within the Berkley group and may want to bypass RCI at some point.

Thanks neighbor. I love Niagara On The Lake and the Shaw Festival. Family had a cottage in Long Beach just past Port Colborne for years. Bought a beautiful antique Canadian Bench Bed up in NOTL back in the 1980's.

Glad to be of help.

Hey, thanks for the tip. We are a part of the Daily Management resort community. Since we're letting our RCI membership expire this year, this will certainly give us more options.

thanks, sreiml8 that was the list i was looking for

Possibly this site may have other timeshares run by Berkely group. It certainly seems to have the resorts from Daily Management Inc. plus some others that aren't apart of that group.

http://www.platinuminterchange.com/website/exchange.asp
Platinum Interchange is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tricom Management which has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkley Group since Berkley purchased Tricom in early 2004.

Here's four more to add to the list.

Magic Tree in Kissimee
Hollywood Beach Resort (seperate from tower)-Hollywood
Sunrise Beach Club-Daytona
Fantasy Island Resort-Daytona Beach Shores

How come there isn't more talk about this company. It seems to rival Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Starwood etc. in size.

IMHO there should be aplace for it in the Hotel/Reosort section.

I'll start it now by asking owners and visitors to give their opinion on this company.
Mine is mixed. After visiting last fall I decided to purchase and put pen to paper for over $19,000 on their new Mizner property. Luckily I got out of it before the 10 days were up.
They were prompt in getting my money back, so Kudos to them there. I then went and bought the same property on E-bay for about 8% of what I was willing to spend.
The place's I've visited our beautiful. All in Weston Florida, but why are their resale prices so bad. Why don't they offer trading amongst their resorts? Why can't I trade within the resort or split my lockout without going to RCI.
I called today for a reservation and was told to call back tomorrow if I wanted the reservation number, why would it take more than a few seconds yet alone minutes yet a day to give me a reservation number.
How pushy are their sales people. Are they pushing to too many people who don't really want to buy and end up selling low because of this?
