Bay Club Room Recommendations

Hello,
I'm in the starting phase of booking a 1-Bdrm at Bay Club for January 2025. I read the sticky about the 1-bdrm. Looking on HGVC website, CP6 has no availability for the dates i'm interested in. I was wondering why just that one was not available, but the rest of the CP rooms were. I thought they are all the same. Do any of the ground floor rooms have a grass area in the front of the lanai like some of the rooms at King's Land? Any room recommendations for 1-bdrm?

1 BR Codes - All 1 BR face the parking lot and NOT the golf course
CD5, CD6, CD7, CD8 - 1 Bedroom C or D floorplan
CP5, CP6, CP7, CP8 - 1 Bedroom C or D PENTHOUSE floorplan

We stayed in a one bedroom and I think it was just the parking lot. There are shrubs, flowers around the parking but it’s not the best view.

It could be the owner is using it. Or hasn't decided to trade it in for HGVC points yet. Or taken by someone else...you do have to pick one and maybe they are a fan of 'The Prisoner'?!?

The codes have nothing to do with the actual units or buildings, just type of room (Penthouse is top floor with high ceiling). I believe all the 1BR units face the parking lot at BC. What you can do is call the front desk two weeks before your arrival and give them your request for location, they are good about honoring requests when they can - last I stayed they make room assignment 1-2 weeks out.

I haven’t stayed there yet but used this to determine which room to pick on our upcoming stay.

This may help - as you can see, all the 1BR units face the parking lot. Bld 4 is closest to the 'adult pool' with snack bar and hot tub, Bld 9 is by the larger, family pool. I would avoid Bld 9 if you are staying around a holiday, as the locals can stay in units at a reduced rate and they take over the complex and are in the pools late into the evenings - the staff does nothing.
