I have searched for too long trying to find this answer so I hope some experienced member can help. I know I want the golf course view A plan at the Bay Club, but what is the difference in AD5, AD6, AD7 and AD8? I thought they were only 3 story buildings so having 4 numbers doesn’t make sense to me. TIA for your help.

Have you looked at the Sticky?

I did but it looks like you can check in on any day so those numbers just didn’t make sense. Oh well. It was still helpful.

Check-in day would be referring to HW (Home Week) reservations. If you are looking at club reservations, that would be any day of the week (3-night min.)

I was hoping the numbers would be the floor you could choose but I guess not.

The room codes with the letter "P" in them are "penthouse" units. They are the same exact flooplan but on the top (3rd) floor of each building. The room codes without the letter "P" in them are on floors 1-2.

Units with 4 digits are most likely the buildings that are only 2 stories instead of 3. Those are really huge 2bd/2ba. We own one but have only stayed in that size unit when we brought along family and friends.

The 2 storey townhouse 2 bdrm (E & F ?)villas require more points than the A or B ,style units. Under original pt allocation they were 8400 pts/week compared to 7000. 13,440 vs 11,200 in current allocation.

The E & F villas are pretty large ., but. IMO I don't think the space is used efficiently for the additional points. Very large living room, while the bedrooms are only slightly larger than A/B style rooms. Nice size bathrooms tho.

Compared to what you get for "plus" units at Kingsland or Kohala Suites (same floorplan just a higher floor or end unit), I do think the villas at Bay Club are worth the extra points if you have larger group (plus you get an extra half bath and the carport is a unique feature rarely found throughout HGVC). For the OP, all 2-bedroom plus units (with the VL# room codes) are these villa units.

There are a couple typos in this PDF (most critically Buildings 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13 are 2-story structures, the villas), but I think it's the best map/floorplan I've seen for Bay Club.

As much as you all want to make something out of the numbers they map to days that correspond to inventory weeks that start Thurs Fri Sat or Sun. I asked why not use 4 to 7 as the numbers, as there is not 8 days in a week so makes no sense, but that is what they told me.

The original of the above diagram, which is in the sticky above, called these 4 plex structures. Sotherby's just screwed up the translation.
