Hi All,
We received a letter from Wyndham (6277 Sea Harbor Drive, Orlando, FL) notifying us that Wyndham is missing a taxpayer identification number and requesting that we file a Form W9 with them. If we fail to do so, Wyndham will withhold 24 percent "of the interest, dividends, and other certain other payments" that Wyndham makes to our account.
Now, I'm sure that they received our SSNs during our original purchases with them.
I have no inkling on what "payments" Wyndham would make to our fully paid off accounts with them. Wyndham certainly doesn't "pay us".
Maybe I should ask Wyndham for their TIN since we send the maintenance funds to them?
The "return envelope" is addressed to "ATTN: ASO Onboarding" ... if that is a clue.
Any thoughts?
Lester
