While staying at the Harborside Atlantis what privileges do we have to the Atlantis resort?
I was informed we would recieve wristbands when booking the room for Atlantis.

All of them!

Just like regular Atlantis hotel guests, you have all the benefits (yes, you do need the wristbands).

No reason, IMO, to go to Harborside without the Atlantis access.

hacker0124, ... Right now there is a dispute as to what access is actually included in the fee paid by Harborside owners to Atlantis.

Atlantis is currently not allowing access to the Cove beach and the Cove pool area (and pool restaurant). Cove guests do not wear a wristband and you can sneak in sometimes by avoiding the security guards who sit between the hotel and the pool. Harborside owners have voiced complaints about this lack of access.

You can walk through the Cove structure and go to the buffet (Mosaic) and the Mesa (Bobby Flay) restaurant without a wristband.

The outdoor pools, other beaches, waterslides, Dolphin area and lazy river at Atlantis are open and they often check for wristbands.

The indoor facilities of Harborside (hotels and the casino) are accessed by shuttle buses boarded at Harborside reception. No wristbands are necessary.

Nor is a wristband necessary to wander through the Atlantis marketplace and shopping area which can be walked to (around the marina) or by boarding the Coral Towers shuttle.

To get to the casino you can take either the Coral Towers shuttle or the Royal Towers shuttle. The casino is between them. The best way to access the lazy river is to take the Cove shuttle and walk down away from the hotel. Enjoy! :)

We are actually staying at The Cove in May (won a trip). If Cove guests do not wear wristbands, how do they access the other Atlantis facilities? That is, what is to differentiate them from completely non-Atlantis guest, like cruise-ship day trippers? I would find it annoying to have to show my room key card to security guards when I went to the water park side. Or, is Cove so exclusive that most guests there don't bother with that?

Cove people have different color wristbands

Ah. I wonder if they force you to take them off when you check out? We're staying in Nassau for 4 more days after we check out of the Cove. ;)

By the way- You can get your wrist band at the Harborside pool towel shack before you go over to Atlantis. It's a quick and easy way to save time. No band needed for toddlers.... but if they have older siblings, the toddler wants one anyway.

You get one per day. Each day is a different color. I normally cut them off after 6 PM as I don't need them after I leave the pools. Your room key will work if they card you anytime or anywhere on property.

Boy, they know all my sneaky tricks. :ignore:

thank you

thank you to every one who has chimed in on my question. As I am traveling with a party of 6 (my daughters and their significant others) I will make the best of this information.

While booking this (through the elite desk) we were told if the names of the guests were provided all wristbands would be available at check in.

hacker, ... You just aren't going to get six sets of seven differently colored wristbands at check-in. The wristbands are like the ones hospitals put on you to keep track of who you are. Once they are removed, they cannot be put back on.

I think you heard the person wrong. If the names of the people staying with you are provided at check in, those names will be fed into the computer and will get a room key so that, each day, they can pick up a new wristband at the towel shed near the Harborside pool. To avoid problems, have each person bring his/her room key with them to pick up the wrist band.

If the room key is present, it's never a hassle. And, from the towel shed, it's about a 3-4 minute stroll back to the Harborside reception area where the Atlantis shuttle buses stop every 10 minutes - or so.

If you've never been to Harborside and Atlantis before, you're going to like it! :) ... eom
