Hmm... for the value plan I just don't see the appeal of traveling to the Bahamas only to eat in one of three restaurants morning and night, especially when the restaurants are all in the hotel area (Virgil's will be in the Coral Towers, Seagrapes at Beach Tower, and Marketplace at Royal Towers). And the $95 plan, while more convenient, still requires one to want to eat a lot every day...

i totally agree with you, we will not be getting the meal plan ever again. we certainly do not need all that food for every meal and last time we saved $2500 by not getting the meal plan. we went where we wanted and ate whatever we wanted, shared a dessert for the table and came back without gaining 5 lbs. each. so we saved all around. the meal plan is like being on a cruise.too much food.

So for my family, we're talking $200 a DAY for food? On the VALUE plan? That's completely insane.

No wonder HRA doesn't offer grills.

"Dinner includes a choice of one appetizer, entrée and dessert"

This does not sound like either of the dining plans are no longer buffets, but a choice of only one appetizer, entrée and dessert .

the descriptions of the restaurants say that seagrapes and marketplace are buffets.

Seagrapes and the Marketplace are buffet only. There is no ala carte service in those restaurants.
