Oyster Creek Inn

How far from AC? Would a joint called Oyster Creek Inn at the very end of Oyster Creek Road (41 N Oyster Creek Rd) before you drive into the bay be too far? It is just east of Smithville, in Leeds Point. (I guess about 9 miles from AC and 2 miles N past the Marriott Seaview.

CALL THEM FIRST..the structure is sooo old, when you enter, you think the last refurb was in 1929, just before the crash.

Closer in AC is the DOCKS OYSTER HOUSE

( http://www.docksoysterhouse.com/ ) Just about as old, but kept in much better condition.

Knife & Fork Inn has a high rating on TA, but I've never been there:

Another vote for Docks. I have also heard wonderful things about Knife and Fork, but have never been.

Thanks to all for your respones. We'll be there tomorrow evening and will try to check out the new suggestions.

Just an update. We chose Knife and Fork and while it is not an inexpensive meal, it was fabulous and probably one of the best meals we have experienced. My wife insists that this become a regular stop while we are in Atlantic City. We stay at Wyndham Skyline Tower and it was a 45 minute walk, but well worth it.

Gjaques,
Too late for you but maybe not for others. We loved Hooper's Seafood Cafe in Brigantine for seafood-they also sell fresh fish. We haven't been in a few years but the food was always great and very affordable, especially at lunch time.

There is now a Phillips Seafood in the new Ceasar's Pier mall in AC...very good. Phillips is an institution in Maryland. They also have a take-out window on the Boardwalk now.
