Heading to "update". The resort is beautiful and we are having a great time despite the cool couple of nights. The temp in the pool is nice, the units beautiful, and the staff friendly. The owners reception was very nice with unusually good appetizers. We are premium plus owners so there is not much they can do to upgrade our portfolio. We like to hear the spill to see if Marriott has any surprises. We have been around so long that the salesperson usually learns something from us. It is worth the 20,000 points while we wait for the temps to warm.
 
A word of caution. Oceana Palms has developed a bit of a "rep" as a place where the presentations are aggressive and the facts presented are questionable. They seem to like to push the "if you don't buy trust points your legacy weeks will be worthless!" line.

Nice resort though and I agree about the appetizers.
 
Good presentation as we had our sales lady that sold us our Oceana Palms week before points. We have a pretty good portfolio so not much pressure.

About 50 the last two nights with highs in 70's a couple of days. We were back to 80 today with higher coming. It was also windy. Very few people have gotten in the pool Monday and Tuesday. We are still having a fabulous time and head to Crystal Shores Sunday.
 
Enjoy your stay, I can't wait to be back there this summer. How is the construction coming along?
 
They are about finished with outside. The fire pit between the buildings has been constructed. Opening day should be in Feb. It is beautiful this morning. We should have a great day on the beach.
 
I stayed there last week. The manager said February 23 is the scheduled opening of the new tower.
